BRAIN BREAK STATION
Set up a 5-minute brain break rotation where students play one game from a different thinking category each day.
- Assign each weekday a different category (e.g., Monday = Puzzle, Tuesday = Patterns)
- Project a game on the board or let students choose from that category
- Discuss what thinking skill they used afterward
THINKING SKILL OF THE WEEK
Feature one thinking category per week. Students explore games from that category and journal about strategies they used.
- Introduce the thinking skill on Monday with a whole-class game
- Let students explore 2-3 games from that category during the week
- Friday reflection: What strategies did you discover?
